These experiences can taint how you perceive yourself and others, negatively impact your relationships and your work, and it can be hard to break away from their hold on you. Renée’s areas of focus as a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist include anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, grief, post-concussion syndrome, post-traumatic stress disorder and complex PTSD, sleep difficulties, relationship issues, and stress management. Since 2007, she has been specializing in treating various forms of trauma, both recent and past, with a broad spectrum of clients including BIPOC and LGTBQ2S+ clients.

Renée is a compassionate, psychodynamic, client-centred therapist. She integrates EMDR, CBT, Brainspotting, narrative and solution focused therapies, parts work, and somatic work in her sessions.


In addition to her work in private practice, Renée has worked eight years in the non-profit sector offering psychotherapy to newcomers and vulnerable people. Working with this clientele and an internationally trained team of clinicians, has helped her develop a global understanding of and a broader approach to treating mental health issues.

Renée is a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. She is also a Certified EMDR Therapist (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) and a member of EMDR Canada. She is completing her certification in Brainspotting. She hold a M.Ed. in Educational Counselling, a B.A. with Honours in Psychology, and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa.

He aims to create a supportive therapeutic relationship in a safe and non-judgmental environment so you can understand where you are now, define your goals, and how to achieve them. With a focus on developing a confident, positive mindset, he will help you to connect your triggers, emotions, and reactions, make corrective experiences, and align your actions with your values so you can thrive.

Michael can help you navigate the issues you face in your day-to-day life. He has a trauma-informed, person-centered, integrative approach to therapy that draws on influence from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS),  narrative therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), an existentialist philosophy, and a dash of humour. His goal in therapy is to help people build better relationships with themselves and the world around them. By working to remove obstacles to access your innate inner resources, you can find balance, harmony, and peace.

Michael has his roots in trauma-focused care, and treats issues related to depression, anxiety, trauma, men's issues, low self-esteem and confidence, and relationship distress. He works with individuals (16+) and couples from a wide range of backgrounds including LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC communities.

Simone Godad, MACP (Candidate), RP (Qualifying)

Life can lead you to experiencing a variety of highs and lows. Sometimes your journey might be impacted by stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and burnout. Or maybe you’re dealing with women’s issues, perinatal mental health, or infertility. Simone would be honoured to support your journey towards healing and self-discovery. As a bilingual Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing a Master’s degree in counselling psychology, she is committed to helping individuals reach their full potential. Her practice also encompasses work-related stress, divorce and separation adjustment, relationship dynamics, and codependency.

Simone’s volunteer work with victims of crime and support for nonprofits aiding women and children, combined with the rich cultural insights from her upbringing as the daughter of immigrants, has profoundly shaped her therapy approach, emphasizing cultural sensitivity and understanding to promote healing and growth. Simone aims to make mental health care accessible to diverse clients. 

Her therapeutic approach is client-centered, drawing on the strengths and inherent potential of each individual. Simone integrates various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapies, person-centered, interpersonal, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, EMDR, and mindfulness therapies, to tailor her approach to the unique needs of each client.
