In this series we will focus on building our focus, working with our big emotions, and building confidence!

Each interactive live, online class will include mindful movement, a creative activity, and of course, learning mindfulness tools!

SHORT COURSE IN MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION

6 WEEKS! Starts: 6 October 12-1pm

This fall seems more stressful than ever, and we could all use some extra support. Most of us feel compassion for our close friends when they are struggling. What would it be like to receive the same caring attention from yourself when you needed it most? All that’s required is a shift in attention—recognizing that as a human being, you, too, are a worthy recipient of compassion. Self-compassion involves the capacity to comfort and soothe ourselves, and to motivate ourselves with encouragement, when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate. Self-compassion is learned in part by connecting with our innate compassion for others and including ourselves in that circle of compassion. The practice of self-compassion also helps to grow and sustain our compassion for others.

The SC-MSC program draws on the skills of mindfulness and focuses on developing the resource of self-compassion to enhance our capacity for emotional wellbeing. Burgeoning research shows that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, coping with life challenges, lower levels of anxiety and depression, healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and more satisfying personal relationships. It is an inner strength that enables us to be more fully human—more fully ourselves.

Come and join us for YOGA WITH A THERAPEUTIC PURPOSE IN THIS 5-WEEK SERIES in our beautiful clinic space! **Small 5-student classes give you a semi-private feel!**

CLASS DESCRIPTION : Learn about the healing powers of yoga for body, mind and soul in this gentle but powerful all-levels class. Your instructor will guide you to explore gentle movement, breathwork, and meditation with an emphasis on caring for body, mind and soul. Classes will include gentle strengthening exercises, active and passive forms of stretching, myofascial release, and restorative postures with the intention of providing a healing space for both body and mind. Each class will explore an area of the body or a theme.

This therapeutically oriented class will offer lots of options and modifications.

Spaces will be limited so register early!

This series is perfect for a seasoned yogi or for a first timer! (ALL LEVELS)

$110 plus hst for your 5 week series

All the props you will need are provided. Show up with your mat or a cushioned blanket, and get ready to let go to unwind your tension and stress!
